Quick Summary:
Jack (Edward Norton) is an average guy with an average condo, average job, and an above average hate for his melancholy life. Jack likes to make himself feel better by attending self-help meetings and feign such ailments as testicular cancer and tuberculosis to fit into them. There he meets Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter) and Robert Paulson (Meatloaf) and becomes self-help acquaintances with both.

Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) is everything Jack is not. Tyler is a self-confident non-achiever who is completely at peace with his inner being. The two happen to meet as single serving friends on an airplane flight. The friendship between the two blossoms as circumstances force jack to move into Tyler's rotted out mansion in the industrial district.

Tyler and Jack become good enough friends to share the joy of beating the hell out of each other at night. The activity becomes so popular it becomes an underground-fighting cult. This leads to a cycle of mayhem and a battle against consumerism and modern society that leads you to wonder… Who is Tyler Durden?

The Movie is rated "R" for its disturbing and graphic depiction of violent anti-social behavior, sexuality and language. It is directed by David Fincher and is based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel. Although it is a "Violent movie", the violence is in context and has some deep insight into life and the male psyche.
