Pinot Noir is a deep warm red wine made from a difficult grape to cultivate that succeeds in cooler climates. The flavors range from an earthy, oaky vanilla to fruity flavors such as raspberry or plum. This wine is best served with game dishes, red sauce pasta and light beef dishes.

Red Zinfandel is a deep red wine produced mostly from California grapes. This wine ranges from soft and heady with of a hint of spice or the fruity after taste of berries. Red Zinfandels complement hearty pasta dishes such as raviolis, risotto or ragouts.

Sangria is a red wine cocktail that originated in Spain. When making Sangria one should use an inexpensive red wine, add some brandy, chill it over night, add fresh fruit like oranges and limes then pour over ice with a fresh mint sprig and serve. It can also be made with white wine therefore called Sangria Blanca and both versions are a delicious and refreshing summertime drink.

White Zinfandel is a pale rose colored wine that was developed in the '80s. Wine connoisseurs because of its youth and extremely sweet taste often sneer at it. This wine possesses light flavors of strawberry, raspberry, cherry or vanilla and is best served with light meals and cream based sauces.
